Published Jan 27, 2013

Canon Middle East is further set to grow its Middle East printing business in 2013 by focusing on the expansion of its Large Format Printer (LFP) business in the region. Following this strategic approach, the leading imaging solutions company showcased a new line-up of LFP models aimed at the exponentially growing Graphic Arts and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) industries at the Sign and Graphics International Exhibition 2013.

Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East, said, “The Graphic Arts and CAD markets are evolving rapidly in terms of their printing needs, with indications of sustained growth for the coming few years. What professionals in this market are looking for in a product is its ability to tackle all their needs in a cost-effective and efficient way without compromising on quality. Our versatility is unmatched. Canon has the most comprehensive large-format printing solutions designed to produce outputs at exceptional speed, high quality and best total cost of ownership.”

“This creates a great opportunity for Canon with the introduction of over seven new products that are catered to this segment. Our debut participation at Sign and Graphic Imaging was a testament to our commitment to the large-format printing market in the Middle East,” added Verbrugghe.

The newly launched large format printers including imagePROGRAF 760 and imagePROGRAF 765 are tailored to meet the needs of the CAD industry which produces high quality print content accurately and precisely at high speeds.

Canon’s stand at the three-day event was divided into zones making it easier for visitors looking for a specific product to be easily guided. The zones consist of Photography & Proofing, Photo Albums, Production, In-House Printing, CAD/GIS and service zone.

“By showcasing at the ultimate platform for signage, graphic imaging, screen & digital printing markets, it gave Canon the chance to showcase its full range of printers, features and functionalities catered to these industries and explain to customers how we can help them deliver quality outputs in large formats,” concluded Verbrugghe.
