Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, recently announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer Pervez Qureshi has been named a 2013 “Pros to Know” award winner by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine, an international B2B publication that provides mission-critical editorial to address the issues and challenges of the supply chain.
Honoring the supply chain’s best and brightest, Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s “Pros to Know” include professionals proactively working to improve business functions in a number of categories—including manufacturing and production output; procurement; logistics; risk mitigation strategies; sourcing; financial operations; packaging and distribution; transportation; and more.
Now in its 13th year, the Supply & Demand Chain Executive “Pros to Know” awards recognize both ends of the supply chain. This includes honoring the “providers”; e.g., individuals from software firms, service providers, consultancies or academia who helped their supply chain clients or the supply chain community prepare to meet industry challenges. Qureshi was named in this category. Also recognized are “practitioners”; e.g., those supply chain executives who demonstrated leadership by managing risk in the supply chain; provided competitive advantage; and delivered value to the bottom line.
“The efforts that a number of the industry’s leading executives continue to take to improve their business’s functionality and in turn, progress the global supply chain—this was one of the main reasons we started the ‘Pros to Know’ awards in the first place,” said Barry Hochfelder, editor, Supply & Demand Chain Executive.
“Epicor continues to develop next-generation enterprise solutions that will support business operations on a full range of supply chain management capabilities within a single integrated platform, ultimately helping to grow suppliers’ revenues and profitability,” said Qureshi. “On behalf of all Epicor employees, I am honored to have Supply & Demand Chain Executive recognize our contributions to innovation in the industry.”
For the 2013 “Pros to Know” list, the publication’s editorial selection committee reviewed close to 400 entries to find the applicants that best fit the criteria. Submission information criteria for the provider entries included:
• What does the nominee believe to be the key challenges facing their customers and their supply chains in the year ahead and how is the nominee working with them to meet those challenges? Please cite an example of the impact that these projects or initiatives are having for those customers.
• How can supply chain, as a function, be better aligned with a company’s broader corporate strategy?
The full list of 2013 “Pros to Know” awards winners is now available on www.sdcexec.com. The expanded awards coverage featuring Qureshi and other winners will appear in the March 2013 issue of Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine and online thereafter.
