Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management systems and threat management solutions, announced its participation at the IDC CIO Summit 2013 to be held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, UAE on the 18th and 19th of February.
The 6th edition of the IDC CIO Summit held under the theme ‘Seize the Moment: Transform, Innovate, Collaborate’, will bring together the region's top 100 CIOs to acquire distilled and compact insights into IT strategies, emerging technologies, and best practices that have direct implications on their businesses.
The event will see Vladimir Zapolyansky, Deputy Director, Global Research & Analysis Team, Head of Technology Positioning, Kaspersky Lab, discuss the ‘Evolving Threat Landscape in the Middle East’ highlighting the importance of intelligent security solutions in the era of sophisticated malware and targeted attacks. During his presentation Mr.Zapolyansky will highlight the need for multi-level and proactive protection for corporate network security.
“Lately, we seem to be hearing news of complex targeted attacks more often , and such names as Stuxnet, Duqu, Flame and Gauss are known to many people. On January 14, Kaspersky Lab announced the detection of one more cyber-threat. This time it’s not just a targeted attack but an extended network of cyber-spying against diplomatic and governmental structures, research institutes, industrial companies and military agencies of various countries,” said Mr.Zapolyansky.
“The evolution of cyber criminals calls for a change in security policies and practices. Only a multi-layer and proactive approach to corporate security plus a centralized management system make possible preventing data losses and protecting the enterprises from all kind of modern threats,” he continued.
Experts from Kaspersky Lab will also be available at the event to highlight the company’s latest corporate security solutions and help CIOs and IT security professionals proactively counter the surge in targeted attacks in the region.
