Tilgin Strengthens its Flexible Premises Solution with Introduction of Wireless Access Device

Published Feb 19, 2013

Tilgin, a leading provider of solutions for multi-play and next-generation broadband access, announces the launch of a fully managed, high-end wireless distribution solution at the FTTH Council Europe Conference this week, from 19 – 21 February 2013, at the ExCel Centre London.

This new device, the MSA931, is a cable free, plug and play solution that will change the way video is distributed in modern homes, and will allow operators to deploy video services in customer home networks in a brand new way.

The MSA931 can transmit and guarantee high performance, flicker free video to multiple IPTV set top boxes at any one time, acting as a wireless bridge to a Tilgin home gateway. It can also be used to get optimal wireless coverage and performance for any internet usage in the home. The MSA931 will be part of Tilgin’s already established Flexible Premises Solution, which prides itself with best economy in deep fiber access deployment and at the same time allowing superior Wi-Fi performance.

“Our Flexible Premises Solution which we introduced last year has received positive feedback from the market and several operators are already basing their FTTH / FTTB strategy on our solution. The addition of the MSA931 will strengthen the solution even further and again show the benefits of a modular approach for the home, both in terms of performance and economy.” Says Eric Hjelmestam, VP Solution Management & Marketing at Tilgin. Mr. Hjelmestam continues, “One key challenge for operators is to give their end-users both quality of experience and a home décor designed product. With the introduction of the MSA931 we feel we have certainly achieved this.”
