Epson launches latest 4-in-1 for SOHO segment

Published Mar 23, 2009
Epson has announced the Middle East launch of the Stylus Office TX600FW; a new compact, stylish unit which incorporates improved scanning, printing, copying and faxing capabilities that meet the growing requirements of emerging micro-businesses and home office set-ups in the region. The new unit also offers built-in wireless networking and Ethernet connectivity which allows easy sharing among multiple users in a LAN-based office setting.

The TX600FW, which comes in an attractive high-gloss black finish and smooth contours to complement any modern office space, can work print speeds of up to 38 pages per minute, and offers a print resolution of 5760 optimized dpi, a scan resolution of 2400dpi, and an automatic document feeder. The straightforward control panel can tilt to give easy access to the many advanced features, while the automatic document feeder can be concealed behind a flip-panel when not in use to further enhance the overall appearance. Built for fast and efficient service, the multi-purpose unit can bring out crystal clear results on plain paper without compromising throughput.

The TX600FW comes with bundled software which include Presto and Pagemaker 8. The unit also works compatibly with Epson’s high yield individual ink cartridges utilizing Epson’s unique Micro Piezo technology, reducing the machine’s power consumption to a fraction of what laser printers consume per job. Additionally, the TX600FW offers a further cost benefit as users only replace the colour cartridge used, thus reducing the cost of cartridge replacement.

Documents from the TX600F are durable, smudge-proof, water and highlighter resistant, with prints that are clear and professional, as the recommended-for-use quick-drying DURABrite Ultra Ink does not bleed through the page.

Other additional features include memory card slots, a PictBridge connection and a 6.3cm LCD screen allowing users to print without switching on their PC’s.

Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East, said, “There has been a notable increase in the emergence of SME’s and micro enterprises in the Middle East region. Epson understands the growing business needs of this particular segment and has been introducing products like the TX600FW that are cost-efficient, multifunctional and high performing. The TX600FW not only ensures a clear and professional look for all your documents, images and scanned items, but also offers a wireless network and Ethernet connection that gives multiple users the advantage of speed in processing an application.”
