With the UAE leading the world’s private education with a market size of US$1.9 billion in 2012, BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations and global DLP® education projector leader, is introducing top-of-the-line products tailored for the education sector.
The company is showcasing its latest range of education projectors at Gulf Education Supplies and Solution (GESS) 2013, happening from 5th to 7th March, at Dubai World Trade Centre. Among the products to be highlighted at the exhibition are the W1080ST, the world’s first Full-HD short-throw 3D video projector, and MW860USTi, the interactive short-throw projector.
“The emergence of key technologies that are tailored to the education has dramatically changed the dimension of how teachers and students share information and ideas in the classrooms. Over the years, projectors have been a constant fixture in classrooms around the world as a major tool for instruction,” said Manish Bakshi, Managing Director, BenQ Middle East and Africa. “The UAE has been leading the region in providing quality education by ensuring that only the best products are used for teaching and learning.
“BenQ’s R&D has combined short-throw technology with Full-HD 3D video projector to create stunning visuals during class presentations making classes more fun and enjoyable. We have also enhanced our innovative interactive solution in our range of education projectors to provide better interactivity between teachers and students,” he added.
These projectors, to be displayed at ABCOM Solutions at Stand H20, Hall 6, are among the most advanced interactive devices available in the Middle Eastern region. The MW860USTi projector showcased BenQ’s trademarked 2nd generation PointDraw interactive projection technology along with the latest PointDraw Pen 2.0 to support faster response time and remote interactivity of up to 25 feet away from the board or projected surface.
It features QDraw 2.0 interactive software for dual pen control for endless collaboration through simultaneous teacher-student interaction, with a 0.37 short-throw ratio and 20W built-in speaker. The MW860USTi has high brightness and WXGA resolution that increases the viewing area by 30% with sharper and clearer images; and DLP® LinkTM to create immersive learning environment through 3D visualization.
Meanwhile, the W1080ST can adapt to any room’s layout, size and ambient light levels. It can project 65-inch and 100-inch image in a distance of one and 1.5metres respectively without image obstruction or shadows, ideal for motion-sensing games or 3D video presentations.
Packed with ISF certification, supporting multiple 3D forms, a brightness of 2000 ANSI lumen, and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, W1080ST presents an excellent image quality needed for visualisation during class presentations.
