Google Reveals Hi-Tech Specs’ Specs: Report

oogle Inc has finally released the specifications of its Google Glasses, according to tech site CNET.
The much-maligned, but highly anticipated spectacles from the Internet heavyweight are reported to be in mass production having been beta-tested by a select group of celebrities. The high-tech eye gear is expected to sell for $1500.
Adjustable nose pads and frame allow a one-size-fits-all offering and two extra nose pads are included. The display is said to have the appearance of a 25-inch HD screen viewed from eight feet away.
As expected, image capture is a key feature, with 5MP stills and 720p video supported. Also integrated is 16GB of total flash memory, of which 12 GB is usable and synchronised with Google-supplied cloud storage.
The headset will feature Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity through the somewhat sluggish standard of 802.11 B/G.
The battery allows one day of typical use, but is reduced by power-hungry operations such as video capture.
The Google Glass project is one of several wearable tech pursuits among international players. Both Samsung and Apple are working on wrist watches, thought to emulate the functionality of smartphones, although Italian firm i'm has recently been revealed as a possible obstacle to those plans.
Google Glass has been criticised by privacy advocates for its perceived ability to record images covertly and store them in the cloud.
