SanDisk Strengthens Distribution Network In Africa With DESPEC

SanDisk Corporation, a global leader in flash memory storage solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with DESPEC, a dedicated specialist in office and printer supplies, aimed at fueling SanDisk’s growth plans across the African continent. The agreement will see DESPEC distributing SanDisk products in East Africa, namely Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.

“Africa is a significant growth market for us,” said Sreedhar Sreekumar, SanDisk Regional Sales Manager Middle East and Africa. “Africa is a growing emerging market and it is experiencing rapid economic growth. We are pleased to partner with DESPEC and see SanDisk’s business expand throughout the continent.”

DESPEC will distribute all retail SanDisk products which will be available in the SMB channel throughout East Africa and in retailers in Tanzania.

“The African market is expanding at a staggering rate. Smartphone growth in Africa has increased by 43% every year since 2000 . We look forward to working with SanDisk,” said Faisal Jamal, COO, DESPEC.
