Microsoft OEM VP Delivers Landmark Keynote Address At GITEX Technology Week

Microsoft Corporate Vice President Steven Guggenheimer will deliver a GITEX only preview of the latest technology and solutions of Windows 7 on new PCs in the opening keynote address at this year's GITEX TECHNOLGY WEEK in Dubai on Sunday October 18th.
"Over the past several years, we have worked closely with our industry partners on the development of Windows 7," said Guggenheimer.
"We are excited for its general availability to consumers and all of the new opportunities we believe it provides for our partners and our customers".
Technology fans in the Middle East can experience the preview of Windows 7 on new PCs only at GITEX, and will also be able to purchase Windows 7 preloaded on laptops at GITEX Shopper.
The new operating system will be available worldwide on 22 October 2009.
Windows 7 has been designed to deliver a wide range of enhancements to both business and home users.
In particular, it simplifies everyday tasks such as searching, navigating your PC and browsing the Web. It offers improved performance, reliability and security, while making new things possible around multimedia and touch capabilities.
GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK runs from 18 - 22 October 2009 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, with GITEX Shopper at Airport Expo Dubai from 17 - 24 October 2009.

Guggenheimer oversees worldwide sales, marketing and licensing of pre-installed Windows operating systems, and in his role, he is responsible for working with computer hardware manufacturers and system builders on the preinstallation of Microsoft applications, and the relationship between Microsoft and the original device manufacturers that engineer, design and build mobile and embedded devices, personal computers and servers for OEMs.
The GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK Opening Keynote Address will have limited seating available, that will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The Consumer Electronics section of GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK will be open free to the public on Thursday 22 October for product previews only.
