Mobile-To-Monitor Entertainment To Become More Accessible Thru Benq’s New MHL Monitors

Published Aug 26, 2013

BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations and LED monitor expert, bolstered its line of monitors with the launch of its very own Mobile-to-Big-Screen Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) monitors in the Middle East.

The EW Series of monitors is MHL-connection ready, a key feature that ensures flawless streaming of digital content from any MHL-equipped Android smart devices. This feature allows users to browse websites, watch videos, review documents or play games on a bigger screen such as the 24-inch EW2440 and the 27-inch EW2740 without the need of computers or laptops.

"The growing usage of mobile smart devices and the expansion of content availability have fundamentally altered the way consumers are accessing digital content. MHL, as the next generation HD connection allows users to connect their smartphones to a wide range of mobile content from documents, photos to Full HD videos,” said Manish Bakshi, Managing Director, BenQ Middle East & Africa.

“The new EW series MHL monitors cater to the changing consumer demands in today’s content-rich world, particularly when it comes to the use of multiple screens and digital content sources. The newly incorporated MHL connectivity will bring ease and flexibility to mobile-to-monitor entertainment while our visual optimisation technologies bring consistently high-quality images across all digital content sources,” he added.

The new EW series have a sophisticated minimalistic appeal with an ultra slim bezel along with an exclusively designed and patented smartphone holder and seamless IO port integration. BenQ has taken the EW series beyond its competitors with the inclusion of the new Cinema Mode and Flicker-free technology.

The Cinema mode is a new feature enabled by BenQ’s color processing technology that automatically process and fine-tune video content to perfection, preserving vital details often lost during the process of brightening darkened scenes. Another notable feature is the Super Resolution feature that simulates high-resolution images with boosted pixel density of the original video source to bring an enhanced viewing experience to all.

Meanwhile, the EW series also features a flicker-free technology, adopting a unique de-flickering backlight circuit controller, making the new monitors free of ring backlight regardless of brightness levels, effectively relieving eye fatigue and headaches. Users may also use different low blue light modes to reduce harmful blue light emission significantly and prevent macular degeneration, including the Multimedia Mode, Web Surfing Mode, Office Mode and Reading Mode – designed to stimulate comfortable reading experience.

The EW2740 and the EW2440 will be available through BenQ’s channel partners. For more information, please visit www.BenQ.co.ae.
