Interactive Intelligence Named among World’s Largest Software and Services Providers

Published Sep 16, 2013

Interactive Intelligence Group Inc., a global provider of software and services designed to improve the customer experience, has been ranked by Software Magazine among the world’s 500 largest software and services providers.

Interactive Intelligence was ranked 203rd this year based on 2012 corporate revenues of $237.4 million, which was an increase of 13 percent over 2011.

“This year’s Software 500 marks our 13th consecutive year on the list,” said Interactive Intelligence Founder and CEO Dr. Donald E. Brown. “Our recent growth has been buoyed by our cloud business, which was up 123 percent in 2012 compared to the previous year. Also fueling growth has been demand for our software by larger enterprises, with orders of more than $1 million increasing 147 percent from 2011 to 2012.”

“CIOs, senior IT managers, and IT staff rely on our ranking to create their short list of business partners because they know it demonstrates vendor viability, particularly when vendors can show a consistent, long-term presence among the world’s top 500,” said Software Magazine Editor John P. Desmond.

Interactive Intelligence develops contact center, unified communications, and business process automation software and services, which can be deployed via the cloud or on-premises. The company released its standards-based, all-in-one multichannel software in 1997 to eliminate the cost and complexity introduced by multipoint vendors.

The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world’s largest software and services suppliers, targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers, and business managers involved in software and services purchasing.

The ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2012. This includes revenue from software licenses, maintenance and support, training, and software-related services, and consulting.
