Schneider Electric to Showcase Innovative Energy Management Solutions for Hospitality Industry at 2013 Hotel Show in Dubai

Published Sep 19, 2013

Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, is set to showcase its range of innovative and intelligent technologies for the hospitality industry as part of its participation at the 2013 Hotel Show in Dubai.

Schneider Electric, with its strategic acquisitions, has maintained its position as a strong contender in offering end-to-end hotel solutions that provide convenient room control and digital connectivity, as well as optimum security and energy efficiency.

As part of its presence, Schneider Electric will create a hotel environment at its stand in hall 8 of the Dubai International Exhibition Centre where the three-day show will get underway from September 28, 2013.

Benoit Dubarle, Country President - UAE, Oman and Pakistan, Schneider Electric said: “Innovative energy management solutions are the demand of the hour with the the rapid increase in consumption. Today, hospitality is not just about convenience and comfort. It is about several other aspects such as security and owning responsibility towards our environment. The Hotel Show gives us an opportunity to showcase our expertise in power, energy and building management, and demonstrates how implementing Schneider Electric’s holistic solutions can translate to increasing bottom line profits for the hotel industry.”

Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure is at the core of its offerings for the hospitality industry. An architectural foundation that takes the form of a Command and Control Centre (CCC), the solution reduces the use of multiple network systems and the associated hardware and maintenance expenses.

In addition to EcoStruxture, Schneider Electric will display solutions such as the Compact NSX, MCCBs with advanced communication features, the Power Monitoring system that allows supervision of all energy assets, and the PowerLogic metering systems. The company will also spotlight its Acti 9 modular protection and communication system that offer the safest, simplest and most efficient final distribution modular components in the industry. The Acti 9 is designed as a ready-to-connect communication system that can be easily integrated into any facility management architecture through its Smartlink module by which users can fine-tune their electrical loads to reduce costs.

Products such as movement detectors, keycard holders and time and temperature systems that contribute to the reduction of hotel energy costs will also be on display at the 2013 Hotel Show.

Dubarle added: “Our end-to-end connectivity solutions are an integral part of a robust IT infrastructure. These complement our customized and cost-effective solutions, which are deployed through our systems in hundreds of hotels around the globe. Some of our solutions are even regarded as brand standards by several renowned hotel brands. We are hoping to bring the same expertise to hotels in the Middle East through our customised offerings and through our value added after sales services.”

Schneider Electric’s solutions are particularly relevant at a time when the Middle East region is witnessing escalating energy costs on the back of the hospitality sector’s strong growth. According to industry analyst reports, 2013 will see 150 new hotel openings in the Middle East, with a majority based in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. An increasing environmental awareness has triggered the requirement for efficient energy management solutions in the hospitality sector.

The Hotel Show, now in its 14th year, attracts industry professionals from around the region and is one of the most important business events within the hospitality, hotel and tourism industries for the Middle East and North Africa. The exhibition provides a vibrant showcase of luxury and contemporary interiors, essential equipment, and the newest technology suppliers in the region.
