Amadeus appoints Khaled Gad Elmawla as General Manager of Egypt operations

Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, has announced the appointment of Khaled Gad Elmawla as General Manager in Egypt.
Elmawla holds over 25 years of experience in the industry, gained with Amadeus’ strategic partner EgyptAir. In his role, Elmawla will spearhead the overall growth of Amadeus Egypt at a time when the Egyptian travel industry is bracing itself for a new growth phase.

As part of his responsibilities, Elmawla will look to further leverage Amadeus’ partnership with EgyptAir, strengthen relationships with leading agencies and enhance product delivery capabilities with a view to increasing the company’s foothold and reinforcing its position as a leading technology solutions provider in the market.
With an impressive career chart behind him at EgyptAir, Elmawla is a highly regarded expert in the travel industry. He has held several management positions nationally and internationally at EgyptAir, and was responsible for re-engineering its business process and modernising its systems using Amadeus’ technology. Prior to joining Amadeus, Elmawla headed the EgyptAir sales team.
