ESET®, the global leader in proactive digital protection with a record of 10 years consecutive VB100 awards for its award-winning ESET NOD32® technology, today launched the ESET Technology Alliance - an integration partnership. The aim of the program is to better protect businesses with a range of complimentary IT security solutions that seamlessly integrate with ESET products.
All members of the ESET Technology Alliance are strategically selected security companies that specialize in a specific IT security area which complements the ESET product portfolio. The program’s partners are carefully vetted against a set of established criteria to extend “best-in-class” business protection across IT environments. The first entrant into the ESET Technology Alliance is DESlock, an encryption software company.
“While Middle East organizations are reluctant to report occurrences, data leakage is rampant in the region and is in fact one of the top security threats that IT managers are faced with. In our experience, a vast majority of these leaks can be mitigated by an encryption solution that is implemented in an efficient manner ,” said Neo Neophytou, Managing Director, ESET Middle East. “DESlock is a perfect fit for our business. The seamless integration of our solutions will guarantee maximum protection and ease of use for our customers. This partnership is also beneficial to our channel community in the region as they can now offer a robust end-to-end security solution.”
Through the Alliance, ESET provides a well established encryption product, a simple-to-use application with unique architecture, to provide powerful data encryption to existing or new customers no matter whether they are large or SMBs. This solution protects against all types of data breaches while allowing fully secure collaboration across complex workgroups and teams. The product integration provides ESET customers with better protection of company infrastructure as well as effective encryption on employees’ mobile devices.
According to IDC's 2011 Security Survey, among companies with fewer than 100 employees, encryption ranked as the fourth most valuable technology for protecting against security risks; only 9% of small companies cited encryption, ranking it behind firewall, unified threat management (UTM), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS). Among companies in the 100-999 employee range, 14% cited encryption as a top technology (ranking third behind firewall and UTM).
Benefiting from a full integration with the ESET Dexter System, ESET resellers can now offer business customers a broader set of products and services. On the client side, it offers full disk encryption, removable media encryption, file & folder encryption and mail encryption. On the server side, the Alliance solution provides remote central management, security key management and enterprise server proxy.
“We have been talking to ESET for a while now and quickly realised that the DESlock and ESET product offerings are highly complementary, ” said David Tomlinson, Managing Director for DESlock Ltd. “ESET is renowned for its award-winning IT security solutions and now via the Technology Alliance, ESET can offer full data leakage prevention.”
The ESET Technology Alliance enables ESET to offer comprehensive IT security across backup, encryption, appliances, web and email filtering and patch management technologies. This expanded portfolio helps business customers and their administrators safely enjoy the various technologies they have deployed in their environment.
The ESET endorsed DESLock+ advanced technology solution will be offered through the ESET partner network. For more information and a full list of product features and benefits, please visit the ESET Technology Alliance page.
