Schneider Electric Hosts ‘Healthcare Solutions Week’ in Riyadh

Schneider Electric Saudi Arabia, the global specialist in energy management, today announced the success of its Healthcare Solutions week with a seminar titled ‘Build a Better Hospital’ to promote development of better healthcare facilities in the country.

The VIP event was attended by senior healthcare representatives from various hospitals and ministries. The three day seminar was held on 16, 18 and 19 September in Intercontinental Riyadh Hotel. Day two and three attracted more than 140 consultants and contractors from the top companies working on the healthcare projects in the Kingdom; key speakers included Christophe Campagne, country president of Schneider Electric and Michael Sullivan, vice president- Global Health solutions.

Christophe Campagne said: “The healthcare solutions seminar was hosted to spread awareness and focus on the need for better design and architecture of the energy infrastructure. It is important to ensure hospital security and patient safety through reliable power, security, and IT solutions in the healthcare sector. At Schneider Electric, we remain fully committed to promoting the development of more efficient healthcare units in the Kingdom.”

The first day of the seminar followed an open discussion format, allowing senior health care officials, owners and investors to understand issues concerning the health sector and encouraging the formation of new concepts to improve performance. The second and third day covered topics related to improving the finances of healthcare units, increasing overall patient safety and satisfaction, empowering technology in the hospital environment and operating a ‘Green Hospital.’

The event was also leveraged to announce the launch of Schneider-Electric’s latest healthcare platform “Struxureware for Healthcare” that integrates medical and non-medical platforms into one friendly user interface. The new RTLS “Real Time Location Service” advanced technology was additionally introduced as part of the Schneider-Electric platform through their partnership with Ekahau.

Michael Sullivan said: “Our objective is to deliver solutions that enhance productivity by achieving more with less. This seminar served as an ideal platform to promote awareness about these concerns and encourage the conceptualization of of innovative solutions.”
