Cambium Networks™,a global leading provider of wireless broadband solutions, today announced that Prologix, a leading IT and telecom Value-Added Distributor (VAD) in the Middle East and Africa, is the preferred ePMP distributor in the Middle East and Africa.
“Since our inception in 1998, Prologix has been committed to helping its customers find the best possible solutions to their IT and connectivity problems. There was no doubt in our minds that Cambium Networks’ ePMP solution would be attractive to a wide array of our customers, especially with the incredibly growth of smartphone users across the Middle East and Africa,” said Sarwan Singh, managing director, Prologix.
Headquartered in Dubai with offices in Nairobi, Kenya and Lagos, Nigeria, this well-regarded value-added distributor has dedicated sales and technical staff to support Cambium Networks installations. Its telecoms and networking clients span a variety of verticals: finance and banking, government, oil and gas, healthcare, hospitality, education, aviation and more.
The launch of ePMP coincides with the recent opening of PrologixComserve, a new division dedicated to RF communication services and solutions for telecoms operators. Google released a research study about smartphone penetration discovering that the United Arab Emirates ranked the highest of 26 countries surveyed at 62%. High numbers were also reported for Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan, revealing the tremendous opportunity that awaits WISPs, ISPs and service providers offering high-quality Internet connectivity with ePMP.
“Prologix’s strong IT consulting heritage in its geographies made it a natural fit for Cambium. We are thrilled to partner with such an esteemed distributor in delivering the promise of ePMP - superior, reliable connectivity to those who lack it,” said Ian Bayly, vice president EMEA sales and marketing, Cambium Networks. “For too long, networks in developing communities hadn’t had access to scalable, sustainable wireless broadband solutions. We are thrilled to bridge this gap in the Middle East and Africa with ePMP and Prologix.”
