Autodesk Solutions Helps Overcome Challenges In Project Delivery And Operations Readiness Assurance For Middle East Region’s Oil & Gas Industry

Autodesk, a world leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment creation software called on design and engineering professionals in the oil & gas industry to implement best practices and standards in the move to develop and maintain data for oil & gas infrastructures during its recent participation as Bronze Sponsor for the recently concluded 4th Middle East Brownfield Projects conference, which was held at the Sofitel Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Autodesk executives present at the conference included Reiner Meyer-Roessl, ENI Sales Development Plant Lead and Naji Atallah, Major Account Sales Manager – Manufacturing.
During the conference, Reiner Meyer-Roessl, made a presentation ‘Creating, Managing and Exchange Plant Data: A New Outlook?,' which focused on managing data handover and data interoperability for project execution. He discussed challenges in today’s oil & gas segment, like set timelines and quality requirements not being met and how this has affected project delivery and operations readiness assurance. To help address these challenges, Meyer-Roessl recommended the use of Autodesk software like Plant Design Suite, which offers the highly enhanced feature, Autodesk ReCap, making it easy to clean, organize, and visualize massive point cloud data of the as-built or as-is state of a facility. Autodesk ReCap also allows measuring, visualization, and data preparation for efficient use in other Autodesk programs such as the Factory Design Suite.
