Telco Exec (www.telcoexec.com) - the online talent hub for senior telecommunications industry professionals in the EMEA region – launches today offering a new and highly personalised talent and career management service for eligible candidates and a cost effective recruitment process for employers.
The Telco Exec online hub is the first of its kind for the industry and offers a unique service for the estimated 100,000 mid-senior level executives (earning more than GBP six figures, or equivalent) working in the telecommunications sector across Europe, Middle East and Africa. The online talent hub is backed by an array of professional services and offers impartial advice delivered personally by industry experts and accessible directly by registered member candidates.
In the Middle East, where industry deregulation and liberalisation are combining with strong economic growth to create new regional players, more competition and new opportunities for the sector, the development of the talent pool and ability to attract global talent is key to supporting the successful development of the regional industry.
According to Telco Exec Founder and Managing Director, Jason Bandy, the telco industry’s recruitment processes have failed to keep pace with the development of technology and have not adopted online tools to innovate and enhance the recruitment process and experience for those involved - or the recruitment process outcome. The recruitment industry is perpetuating the problem which means ongoing high recruitment costs for employers and at the expense of a positive recruitment experience for candidates.
“Few people in the telecommunications industry enjoy the current recruitment experience, as generic job boards and giant social media sites have focused too much effort on scale and automation,” said Jason Bandy. “Recruitment consultants, because of the reward and fee structure, fail to give impartial advice and often lack the depth of knowledge to fully understand highly technical industries or the competencies of well seasoned executives. Successful matchmaking is vital to every individual and organisation. Our aim with Telco Exec is to reduce hiring costs, improve the matchmaking process and improve the candidate experience to enhance the employer reputation.”
Telco Exec is the first Talent Hub for Telecoms professionals offering a unique range of services. It offers a highly focused, niche Talent Hub for Telecoms professionals with more than 10 years’ experience working within the industry in EMEA. A team of impartial advisors, Executive & Life Coaches, third party recruiters, CV writers and journalists combine to make job search and career development easier for individual candidates and help ensure that the best talent is more likely to be identified, less time consuming and less costly to acquire for companies.
Serge Adam, VP and GM EMEA, Sonus Networks, commented: “Telco Exec is an innovation designed specifically to meet the talent development needs of the regional industry and I welcome the promise of faster, more effective and lower cost recruitment of higher level management in the telecommunications sector,”
Telco Exec operates as a Recruitment Club. Once approved, candidates can search the Telco Exec jobs database and apply for positions worldwide. Candidates can also receive personalised job alerts. Membership of Telco Exec offers the opportunity to talk with Telco Exec's independent support team. By joining the managed community, members are kept up to date with telecoms jobs, and the Telco Exec team provides insight, advice and introductions to accelerate careers.
“Telco Exec pre-screens all candidates for suitability and provides a content rich user experience to engage candidates and employers,” added Jason Bandy. “We offer telephone support to registered members through a paid subscription option and provide insights into technology companies through multimedia content. In addition, Telco Exec will create and publish valuable career information on telco markets across the world; for example on the Middle East markets that are routinely described as tax-free when that is not always the reality.”
Telco Exec content fits into four categories: Insight (tips by recruitment professionals); People (senior industry executives sharing career experiences); Advice (career development advice); and Companies (information from employer organisations).
