Schneider Electric to Showcase Integrated Oil and Gas Solutions at ADIPEC 2013

Published Nov 7, 2013

Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, will showcase its integrated oil and gas solutions that help optimise resources in onshore and offshore facilities across the oil and gas value chain at Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2013.

Schneider Electric’s integrated solutions offering delivers field to enterprise solutions, for upstream, midstream to downstream markets, with applications focused on energy management and infrastructure optimisation. Its Main Automation/Main Electrical Contractor (MAC/MEC) approach complements integrated solution by offering best-in-class solution and project deployment capabilities including strong OT (Operational Technology) and IT (Information Technology) integration, project management, guarantee of successful integration, and total installed and life cycle costs optimization.

ADIPEC is the Middle East’s largest oil and gas exhibition, which will run from 10-13 November at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

In addition, the company will display its renewed Smart O&G Field solution that helps maximise production, optimise energy management while improving reservoir performance with real-time data. Some of Schneider Electric’s top market solutions are ‘Enterprise Pipeline Management System’ (PLMS) - a complete and integrated pipeline management technology, spanning from real-time operational and supervisory control room – down to the pipeline automation level – integrating process, power and security; ‘Energy Management Control Systems’ (EMCS) – a well proven solution for large electrical infrastructures as in Oil & Gas industry with several installed projects around the world; Electrical House (eHouse) – a complete and modular design, delivering compact, efficient, and cost-effective power substations.

The company’s offering in integrated security solution enables plant-wide security of people and assets, including access management system, intrusion detection with analytics, secure telecom backbone, and redundant control room among other features.

Benoit Dubarle, Country President, UAE, Oman & Pakistan, Schneider Electric, said: “Ensuring safe operations with most efficient solutions are fundamental for oil and gas operations. For instance, pipeline leaks can cost hundreds of millions of dollars and negatively impact the environment. Schneider Electric has the technologies to detect, localize and ensure a safe operation. Similarly on the efficiency front, energy consumption is one of the largest operational costs. We have the monitoring and optimization tools to provide operators in both real time and off-line ensuring a more efficient energy delivery, savings and 24/7 power availability, which are critical to ensuring the profitability of oil and gas pipelines, while minimising risks.

“While we specialize in delivering focused and easily-adaptable solutions and reduce our clients operational costs, we also ensure environmental objectives are achieved. We look forward to marking yet another successful participation at ADIPEC to forge long-term synergies with potential customers by understanding their needs for future markets.”

Supported by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and the UAE’s Ministry of Energy, ADIPEC annually attracts over 1,600 exhibitors and more than 45,000 visitors including suppliers and investors from the regional and global oil and gas industry. The event will serve as a platform for industry professionals to experience, discover, network, discuss and debate core industry issues.
