R&M Targets Middle East Datacenter Market With Participation and Sponsorship of DatacenterDynamics Riyadh

Published Nov 19, 2013

In its continued effort to firmly establish itself as the leading vendor of passive infrastructure solutions for data centers in Middle East, Swiss structured cabling specialist, Reichle & De-Massari (R&M) today announced its participation and sponsorship of the DatacenterDynamics Conference and Expo taking place in Riyadh on 10 December, 2013. The company will use the event as a platform to highlight its 'R&MinteliPhy' Automated Infrastructure Management (AIM) solution as well as innovations specifically customized for the requirements of the Middle East's data center market.

Following DatacenterDynamics Riyadh, R&M will host a data center seminar on 11 December, 2013. Intended to further increase awareness and understanding of the company's cabling solutions for data centers, the event will feature technical presentations on the R&MinteliPhy solution and on data center innovation. Key IT decision makers from the company's customers in Saudi Arabia are expected to attend the event.

“Saudi Arabia is the largest IT market in the Middle East with spending that is projected to surpass $12.4 billion by 2016. The data center is a key investment area for both government and private enterprises in the country and the move towards more sustainable IT is very evident,” said Manzoor Ali, Managing Director of R&M Saudi, Bahrain and Yemen. “R&M, with its long standing expertise, speed of solutions delivery and commitment to the highest quality is capable of providing high-performance solutions with an unmatched 25 year systems guarantee- thus meeting even the most stringent requirements.”

He continued, “R&M is now one of the strongest players in Saudi Arabia's data center market. We currently have a significant number of ongoing data center projects which include high profile implementations for some of the biggest government organizations. This conference will give us the opportunity to further raise our profile and let organizations know that we have the solutions to match their requirements and the expertise and commitment to meet and exceed their expectations.”

Recognizing that one of the complexities in building large data centers is the efficient management of the physical cable connections, R&M has introduced its revolutionary R&MinteliPhy AIM retrofittable solution to the Middle East. The system manages documentation, inventory, support in error recovery and automatic detection of switches and end devices. In addition, it offers unmatched investment protection through its ability to be fitted to existing R&M cabling architectures in retrospect. A number of Middle East enterprises have expressed interest in the solution and R&M reports the first order of R&MinteliPhy has already been placed by one of the largest petroleum companies in the region.

At DatacenterDynamics Riyadh, the structured cabling vendor will also highlight its portfolio of data center solutions. These include modular cabinet and distributor systems, the MPO module HD family, 12fiber MTP trunks, the fiber module HD family, the patch panel family, R&MinteliPhy Monitor, space-saving raised floor solutions and high-density cable management systems which provide a platform for the entire network infrastructure. R&M has also addressed the issue of physical infrastructure security. Its cabling systems offer plug-in and plug-out protection as well as risk mitigation though efficient colour coding. These systems are covered by a unique 5 year product warranty, 25 year system warranty and a life-long application warranty.

R&M has an office in Saudi Arabia and maintains a strong local presence in each of its critical regional markets. The company has already expanded its business by leveraging a channel driven approach and will look to establishing new partner relationships at the event. Jean-Pierre Labry, Executive Vice-President of R&M Middle East, Turkey and Africa said, “Our channel is the critical link between the end-customer and us which is why we invest heavily in training.”

In addition to bring together the leading vendors, channel organizations and stakeholders from the Middle East data center market, the DatacenterDynamics event features in-depth case studies and path breaking best practice sharing sessions so that attendees can learn the finer points of datacenter management. As a sponsor, R&M will ensure that top members of its regional executive and sales teams are present at the event.
