FaceTime Strengthens Middle East Ties with New Partner ISnSC

Published Apr 15, 2009
Dubai, UAE – FaceTime Communications announced that Middle East security specialist, ISnSC ("Essence") has joined its partner programme. The relationship will strengthen FaceTime’s position in the region and provide access to ISnSC’s strong corporate customer base where a need to protect against the threats from Web 2.0 applications has already been established.

“A number of our customers have started to encounter problems as a direct result from the use of Web 2.0 applications such as Facebook and instant messaging on their networks,” says Sherif Hazzaa of ISnSC. “Real-time communications and social networking sites are fast becoming legitimate business tools, but left unprotected organisations are finding that productivity levels and malware infections are increasing issues.”

The presence of Web 2.0 applications in corporate networks has grown exponentially in recent years, unchecked by legacy security products and often undetected by IT managers. FaceTime’s Unified Security Gateway (USG) provides a single point of control for preventing malware, controlling Web 2.0 applications and managing information leakage in corporate networks. A unique feature of USG is the ability to detect and control an unprecedented 2,000 Web 2.0 and real-time applications with the same granular policies IT managers would expect from a dedicated URL filtering appliance.

ISnSC specialises in providing security and consultancy services throughout the Middle East. The company chose to work with FaceTime because of its understanding of the region’s marketplace and the track record of FaceTime’s USG product, which was the first web security gateway to comprehensively address the issues arising from the use of Web 2.0 applications in the workplace.

“As companies realise that their traditional web security tools are inadequate to provide the necessary protection, control and compliance required, they look to partners such as ISnSC to provide the answer,” says Nick Sears, VP EMEA, FaceTime Communications. “The Middle East market is an expanding region for us and ISnSC is a welcomed addition to our partner programme.”
