Fujitsu adds yet another chapter to the success story of its ScanSnap family of scanners. The Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP) has bestowed two Good Design Awards to the latest product additions of the ScanSnap portfolio.
In awarding the prizes the jury highlighted the new wireless capabilities of the ScanSnap iX500 that allows the document scanner to send documents directly to a PC, Mac and mobile devices. The ScanSnap SV600 was commended for its innovative take on capture with easy to use contact-less scanning technology.
"The award winning ScanSnap family is in a class of its own. Our concept is to always put the customer’s requirements first and to bring attractive and innovative scanners to market, each offering one-touch ease of use", says Mike Nelson, General Manager Sales and Marketing for PFU Imaging Solutions Europe Ltd. "We are honoured to receive these prizes and we welcome the external validation of our approach."
Established in Japan in 1957, the Good Design Award is a comprehensive programme designed to evaluate and encourage great design. It aims to recognise and reward industrial design efforts for usability in combination with factors including environmental and societal impacts.
