Pressing Saudi HR Challenges Addressed With Pioneering Software

Published Nov 26, 2013

SAP launched a pioneering solution specifically designed to help Saudi Arabia cope with the increasingly complex HR challenges posed by rapid, era-defining growth.

Fully localised and compatible with the country’s labour laws and common practices, SAP HR Core Functions for Saudi Arabia rapid-deployment solution is set to be a game-changer in the Kingdom.

The launch is a bold reaffirmation of SAP’s intent to adapt to local market conditions in order to help decision-makers deliver immediate operational enhancements.

“Effectively managing the workforce has never been more important in Saudi Arabia,” said Ahmed Al-Faifi, Managing Director, SAP Saudi Arabia.

“Efficiency needs to be carefully balanced with accuracy, and HR leaders need access to tools that facilitate rather than confuse and obstruct. SAP has undertaken considerable field studies, partner collaboration and research to produce this first-of-a-kind solution in the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia’s employment landscape is rapidly changing both in scale and complexity. Fully aligned with local laws and employment best practice, SAP HR Core Functions for Saudi Arabia’s will enable new levels of transparency, agility and simplicity across all key HR management processes.”

The result of intensive, multifaceted collaboration between global and local SAP teams, ecosystem partners, as well as local experts, SAP HR Core Functions for Saudi Arabia rapid-deployment solution automates and dramatically improves the efficiency of key HR functions. This results in unprecedented speed and accuracy in dealing with issues like overtime calculation, end of service benefits, annual leave entitlement and annual leave tickets. The solution also encompasses employee and employer General Organization of Social Insurance (GOSI) Contribution for Saudi, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nationals and expatriates. Other key features include alignment with Saudi public holidays and common practices for payroll and accruals processing.

Modular and pre-integrated across SAP’s broad portfolio of solutions, rapid-deployment solutions are proving immensely popular due to their ability to minimise outlay, maximise predictability and lower risk. SAP has racked up over 2,700 rapid-deployment solution customers worldwide, with at least 40 per cent reduction in time and effort compared to traditional projects of similar scope.

In its recent ERP Report, Panorama Consulting Solutions vividly illustrated why rapid-deployment solutions is proving such an enticing prospect, describing how 54 per cent of projects run over time and, in general, 56 percent go over budget.

Using three key components – Software, Best Practice and Services - SAP’s rapid-deployment solutions come with a defined scope, pre-determined cost and predictable results, and are usually up and running in less than 12 weeks. Support is provided by either qualified SAP Partners or SAP Services.
