Epson Unveils New Easy-To-Operate, Compact POS Printer In Egypt

Published Nov 28, 2013

Epson has announced Egypt launch of its TM-T70II POS printer featuring fast print speeds and greyscale printing for clearer receipts. It is designed to help busy hospitality and retail businesses deliver faster and more efficient customer service. The printer’s compact design allows it to fit under most till counters and can easily be operated from the front.

With a Mean Cycle Between Failure (MCBF) of 17 million lines and an auto cutter life of 1.7 million cuts, the TM-T70II is ideal for high-volume environments where reliability is crucial. Its fast print speeds of up to 250mm per second enables businesses to serve more customers quickly.

An optional protective wire cover can prevent accidental spillages from reaching cables and other electrical outputs to offer maximum protection when the printer is stored on or underneath counters.

Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East, said: “Aside from being fast and reliable, the TM-T70II also offers an automatic paper reduction function. This feature enables businesses to reduce paper wastage and save money. It also enables users to provide greater customer service, as they can concentrate on their customers rather than on replacing paper rolls quite so often.”

“We have worked closely with retailers for over 40 years to make sure that we understand what’s important at the point of sale. This new model is the next step in ensuring that we continue to maintain our supremacy in Point Of Sale (POS) printer technology,” El-Dalu added.

Among the key features of the TM-T70II are its ability to facilitate the quick changing of receipt rolls through front-facing drop-in paper loading, a small footprint that allows under-the-counter storage and operation, a fast and reliable receipt printer, faster customer service via a print speed of 250 mm/sec, and the ability to print more receipts for longer with a print head life cycle of 120 km. The printer also has an auto cutter that can carry on working for up to 1.7 million transactions, wide connectivity options with built-in USB plus one additional selectable interface, and an automatic paper reduction function.

Epson’s new POS printer is also ENERGY STAR-qualified for reduced energy bills and environmental impact.
