Halian Signs ‘CASP’ Partnership Agreement with CommVault across MENA

Published Dec 2, 2013

Halian, a leading IT services company providing integrated managed services, resourcing, & professional services for corporate enterprises, today announced that it has signed a ‘CommVault Authorised Support Programme’ (CASP) partnership agreement with CommVault, extending to the Middle East & North African (MENA) territories, including Greece, Cyprus and Malta. This enables Halian to provide technical support services to CommVault’s customers as per a set of service levels defined, managed and audited by the data and information management software vendor. This includes the provision of a software help desk, manned by a Halian team of ‘CommVault certified professionals’ which has to scale to a 24x7 service.

Stuart Fry, Managing Director, Emerging Markets at Halian says, “We are proud to be the first CommVault partner in the Middle East to be able to offer support services under CASP. We have built a very strong partnership with CommVault and this new agreement is a logical extension of the existing relationship between our companies. Halian’s investment in the programme will extend and enhance the scope and capabilities of CommVault’s support services throughout the region.”

Halian will provide a comprehensive range of support services for CommVault users. This will range from 24x7 telephone support, including local language Arabic support, which will be fully manned during the ‘local’ Middle East working week, i.e. inclusive of Saturday and Sunday. In addition Halian is offering enhanced service offerings including ‘on-site health checks’ and ‘on-site critical support engagements’. The value-added offerings from Halian, radically enhances the current support portfolio available to CommVault customers within the region.

Halian has been working with CommVault in the region for the past few years in the provision of professional services and certified training. As a result, the company has built up a team of highly certified CommVault professionals having significant technical expertise on CommVault’s Simpana software. Halian will leverage this experience and skills to provide the new support services and will add three new technical specialists as part of the CASP agreement. The company will work closely with CommVault’s existing channel partner network in promoting and selling the CASP support.

“As CommVault’s customers leverage greater benefits from Simpana’s data management platform and their current implementations expand into new application areas such as virtualization, mobility, analytics and archiving, their demands for service and support will become more complex and sophisticated, requiring on-site engagements. Halian is in a perfect position to fulfil these support needs through the CASP agreement,” concludes Simon Powell, Senior Customer Support Manager EMEA, at CommVault.
