All Fujitsu fi Series Scanners Now with PaperStream Software

Published Dec 5, 2013

The Fujitsu fi Series document scanners for professional desktop applications, workgroups and production environments now come equipped with Fujitsu’s latest PaperStream software. PaperStream consists of the "PaperStream IP" driver and image processing middleware and the "PaperStream Capture" software that optimises batch scanning.

"With PaperStream we have optimised the capture process so that users can now integrate important information into downstream document management processes more quickly and without the need for special training", explains Mike Nelson, General Manager for Sales and Marketing at PFU Imaging Solutions Europe Ltd. "Featuring the PaperStream software, the fi Series document scanners will boost both efficiency and quality in the scanning of documents", adds Klaus Schulz, Manager of Product Marketing for EMEA at PFU Imaging Solutions.

Enhanced image processing and optimised batch scanning
The new PaperStream software allows for digitising documents with the highest image quality: PaperStream IP prepares digitised data for subsequent processing such as OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and connects with common scanning applications that would regularly control the scanner via either the TWAIN or ISIS interface. PaperStream Capture allows users to fine-tune their document work flow (including batches) at every step. Once users have scanned a batch they can instantly release it to the defined destination or place it into a queue for subsequent validation and additional processing.

The fi Series models with the new PaperStream software include:
• Production scanners: fi-5950, fi-6800, fi-6770, fi-6670, fi-6750S
• Desktop scanners: fi-7180/fi-7280 and fi-7160/fi-7260, fi-5530C2, fi-6110
• Countertop A6 flatbed scanner: fi-65F
