Published Jan 6, 2014

Epson will showcase its latest range of printers – including the SC-F7000, SC-F2000, and SC-S70610 from its SureColor Series – at the 17th Annual Sign & Graphic Imaging (SGI) Middle East, the latest edition of the largest and longest-running event for the region’s signage, outdoor media, screen and digital printing industries running from January 7 to 9, 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The new SC-F7000 dye sublimation printer and the company’s first direct-to-garment t-shirt printer, SC-F2000, will be the highlight of the Epson’s state-of-the-art stand.

SC-F7000 is the first printer in its category to have each component designed and manufactured by one company to ensure quality, performance and reliability for maximum productivity and lower total cost of ownership. A durable and robust roll-fed Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key (CMYK) model, it supports a range of applications. The 64-inch printer can be used for quality soft signage, sportswear, apparel, accessories, customized promotional items, and decorated gadgets.

SC-F2000, on the other hand, is a high performing printer with a low maintenance and running cost which is perfect for small and medium print businesses. The printer comes with Epson’s Garment Creator Software that can produce customized designs on t-shirts, caps and bags up to 25mm thick. Featuring Epson’s durable Thin Film Piezo (TFP) printhead, SC-F2000 can quickly print on white and dark-coloured t-shirt without sacrificing print quality.

Designed for print companies that need maximum quality and application flexibility, the 8- and 10-colour SC-S70610 is Epson’s first 64-inch (162.6cm) roll-fed printer to support orange, light black, white and metallic inks simultaneously. Epson will also display the L800 photo printer from its Ink Tank Systems range. This ultra-high-capacity printer with an integrated ink tank is equipped with Epson’s Micro Piezo printhead technology and prints up to 1,800 high quality 10x15 cm photos to deliver an ultra-low-cost per photo.

Shihab Zubair, Business Development Manager, Epson Middle East, said, “SGI Middle East is one of the biggest platforms to showcase the latest products and services in printing and signage industries.
