Pelco by Schneider Electric to Showcase latest IP Video Security Solutions at Intersec 2014

Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, is set to introduce the latest in Video Security Technology by its brand Pelco by Schneider Electric at the 16th edition of Intersec, the largest and most comprehensive exhibition and conference for security, safety and fire protection in the Middle East.

Pelco’s product range includes Fixed and PTZ IP cameras, enclosures, video management systems, as well as thermal imaging products and extreme environment systems that make it a leading supplier in the video surveillance industry. Also included in the launch are eight new series of IP Video Accessories designed to operate in all environments and applications, this gives installers the ability to specify complete, end-to-end solutions by removing all guesswork with tested, compatible, ready-to-install products.

Intersec 2014 will run from January 19 - 21 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Featuring security conferences, workshops and a live SWAT demonstration as part of its agenda, the world’s foremost trade exhibition for the security industry is anticipated to draw more than 1,000 exhibitors and 22,000 visitors.

Pelco by Schneider Electric’s presence at the exhibition at stand Saeed Arena Hall, Stand 605C aims to provide technology enthusiasts and trade visitors with an opportunity to view the recently launched Sarix Value, Sarix Professional and Sarix Enhanced Ranges of IP Cameras. Other products set to go on display are thermal cameras (Sarix TI), Exsite Explosion Proof systems, HD positioning systems (Spectra), Endura IP VMS and the latest in IP Accessories. Visitors to Pelco by Schneider Electric’s stand will qualify to participate in a daily draw for an iPad Mini.

With Pelco’s IP camera range and video portfolio, Schneider Electric seeks to promote valuable, cost-optimising video security systems. The Sarix TI Series IP thermal cameras, for instance, are designed with IP capability for easy connectivity, advanced embedded analytics, high resolution imaging with the ability to detect targets as far as 7km. Also added is the ability to detect relative temperatures allowing for use in Utility operations, along with the security specific applications of military and border applications.

The fortified camera system that is IP66 rated and designed for high temperature environments will also be on display at Intersec 2014. This system is used to protect the camera and other system-related electronics by removing heat build-up from sensitive components and can be used in temperatures of up to 70°C.

Intersec 2013 attracted 990 exhibitors from 54 countries and was seven percent larger than the previous edition with over 21,000 visitors from 116 countries. The exhibition is one of the premier events in the industry for the Middle East and North Africa region.
