Du Helps Customers Connect With Loved Ones In The Philippines and Indonesia With Special Calling Rate

Published Oct 11, 2009
In light of the recent natural disasters in both the Philippines and Indonesia, du is reaching out to its customers with a special calling rate to help them stay in contact with family and friends in affected areas.

From 7 – 13 October, du customers will receive a rate of AED 1 per minute (1.67 fils per second), all day and all night, when they call either destination.

There are no sign up or activation fees for this offer and all du customers whether mobile postpaid, mobile prepaid, fixed line postpaid or Call Select subscribers will enjoy access to the AED 1 per minute rate.

“Given the tragic events of recent days, it’s vital that people have the option of staying in contact with loved ones easily and affordably and with this special calling offer, we hope to help in a modest way,” said Farid Faraidooni, EVP Commercial, du.

“From du’s family of employees to our family of customers, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the recent natural disasters”.

Other special calling offers and benefits currently provided by du, including the ‘WoW’ recharge offer that gives Pay as you Go and Visitor Mobile Line customers up to a 60% bonus on ‘more international’ recharges and up to a 30% bonus on ‘more credit’ recharges, will continue to apply. Likewise, all Elite Plan benefits and bonuses will remain applicable.
