Middle East Can Make The Most Of Human Behaviour Science

Published Jan 14, 2014

A leading science and technology innovator is coming to the Middle East to talk about how big business can take advantage of “the science of human behaviour” in 2014.

Jim Newton, who is Market Development Director at McLaren Applied Technologies in the UK, is travelling to Bahrain in the middle of January to appear at the Great Advanced Engineering Seminar.

He will look at a wide range of science and technology issues relevant to the region – but at the top of the agenda will be health and wellbeing.

“The Middle East region is facing the major and universal global challenges of today and tomorrow in areas such as health and wellness, energy and transportation – and seeks novel technology and innovative approaches that maintain and grow the competitiveness of the region and the quality of life of its people,” said Mr Newton.

“These are all areas where McLaren Applied Technologies has developed technology and expertise independently and as a result of being part of the same group as the famous McLaren Formula One team, and we are also partnering and embedding with visionaries and leading companies around the world to realise,” said Mr Newton.

“For example, it is becoming part of everyday life for people to monitor themselves when they exercise. How can we take that into the workplace to make sure people are working smarter than they ever have done?”

In his role at McLaren Applied Technologies, Mr Newton works across a range of businesses and has been heavily involved with McLaren Automotive as they developed the 12C and most recently the McLaren P1 – the most advanced road car of all time which is due to arrive in the Middle East in the coming weeks.
