Panasonic’s New Compact Digital Cameras Captivate Middle East and African Photography Connoisseurs

Panasonic is once again enthralling its regional photography connoisseurs with two new models of their very popular LUMIX digital compact cameras – DMC- LZ40 and TZ55, both models already attracting considerable interest.

“The art of photography is constantly evolving, so is the demand for innovative cameras and Panasonic has been meeting these demands with cameras that are designed specifically for these consumers. Our new cameras are packed with full functionality that allow photographers of all caliber to capture exceptional images,” said Mr. Hitesh Ojha, Deputy General Manager, Audio Video Products Department, Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa.

The LUMIX DMC-LZ40 features an exceptionally powerful 42x optical zoom lens (35mm camera equivalent: 22-924mm) that is integrated with an Optical Image Stabilizer. The resolution of the CCD is has also been upgraded to 20-megapixel and the iA (Intelligent Auto) mode allows users to leave everything to the camera yielding beautiful images with its Optical Image Stabilizer, Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Selector and Intelligent Exposure features.

The DMC-LZ40 is also equipped with modes for users a step above beginners to enjoy more creative photography. Furthermore, the camera allows for high resolution HD video capture at 720p. The popular Creative Control and Creative Retouch options are available with a total of 15 attractive filter effects.

In addition, the DMC-LZ40 is capable of Creative Panorama mode that allows the user to take dynamic images with 13 filter effects. The 3.0-inch large 460K-dot LCD assures high visibility in any lighting conditions, which is excellent for both shooting and playing back images.

Another key feature is the ergonomically designed comfortable grip to offer stability even when holding the camera for a long period of time.

Oh the other hand the DMC-TZ55 is an all-round camera with its powerful 20x optical zoom lens (35mm equivalent: 24-480mm) is the new member of the LUMIX TZ series. It comes complete with a 16-megapixel High Sensitivity MOS Sensor and the imaging engine excels not only in picture quality but also in its processing speed. It enables 1920 x 1080 full-HD high quality video recording and high speed burst shooting at 10 fps (TBD) in high picture quality.

With the Wi-Fi® connectivity, users can connect the camera to their smartphone/tablet anywhere, and the 3.0-inch large 460K-dot monitor tilts up by 180-degree making it extremely easy to take self-portrait. A variety of special effects that add fun to shooting experience like Creative Control, Creative Retouch and Creative Panorama are also integrated in the DMC- TZ55.

Panasonic latest compact cameras will be available across leading retailers across the region.
