Sennheiser Launches ‘Team-Connect’ - Fully Integrated HD Audio Conferencing Solution for Middle East Businesses

Published Feb 12, 2014

Sennheiser Group launched its cost effective and efficient audio conferencing solution TeamConnect to help Middle East businesses improve their productivity and streamline communications. It is an end-to-end professional grade solution for standard meeting rooms with up to 16 users on site. The all-in-one system offers intuitive smartphone, tablet or laptop control and integrates speakers, mics, a central control unit and connectivity management to deliver conferencing capabilities ideal for businesses and public sector organizations.

A strong regional performer that witnessed a 62% YoY increase in Middle East gross profits in 2013, Sennheiser credits this success to its ability to anticipate and serve the needs of the regional market. “With the upturn in the regional economy and consequent expansion of businesses across multiple locations, making conference calls is now a key enabler of smooth communications. With the newly launched system, Sennheiser has stepped in to address this market need with a flexible, high-performance and cost-effective audio solution,” said Mr. Mig Cardamone, sales and marketing manager at Sennheiser Middle East.

“In TeamConnect, every component perfectly integrates to form a total solution that eliminates the typical complexities of audio conferencing. We even accommodated the growing popularity of smart devices in the region and designed TeamConnect to make it easy to link to networks and to connect business mobile devices in order to operate the system.”

TeamConnect is a complete audio solution consisting of the Central Unit CU1 - which offers both LAN and WiFi connectivity options, SpeechLine microphones and active loudspeakers. To guarantee the best possible meeting solution for customers, Sennheiser has partnered with a leading player in audio and video conferencing and developed TeamConnect in cooperation with ClearOne, one of the world's leading Digital Signal Processing (DSP) specialists.

To enhance simplicity and ease-of-use, Sennheiser has specifically designed an iOS app that offers touchscreen control of web and audio conferences on iPad and iPhone. The same control capabilities are extended to other smart devices, such as those running the popular Android and Blackberry platforms, through an intuitive browser-based web app.

The system comprises up to eight Sennheiser SpeechLine microphones and features audio outputs that drive rich immersive sound from the active SpeechLine speakers which are also part of the package. Mr. Cardamone said, “TeamConnect is the perfect choice to serve any standard-sized conference room. With an easy installation into the existing room management infrastructure and clear effective fine-tuning software, the solution will not only be appreciated by audio and IT professionals. Once it’s set up, it will also be valued by end users, who will be spared the usual difficulties of starting up an audio conference.”
