R&M Partners with Fluke Networks to Deliver Best-in-Class Network Infrastructures for Enterprises

Published Apr 13, 2014

R&M, the global Swiss developer and provider of connectivity systems for high-quality, high-performance network infrastructures, today entered into a new partnership with Fluke Networks, the world-leading provider of network test and monitoring solutions. The agreement will help the organizations combine their best-in-class technologies to significantly speed up the deployment of high-performance network infrastructures that support the ever growing IT demands of the region's booming enterprise and public sectors.

“Both R&M and Fluke Networks are extremely well established players in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa with scores of high-profile customer references to our credit. Our leadership in the cabling and passive infrastructure arena is perfectly complimented by Fluke's expertise in network testing,” said Jean-Pierre Labry, Executive Vice-President of R&M Middle East, Turkey and Africa. “Both our organizations enjoy a very strong foothold in the telecommunications, utilities, transportation, healthcare, city development and hospitality sectors and this new synergy between our brands will only deepen this market penetration.”

The combination of Fluke Networks’ best-in-class testing for end-to-end systems, and R&M’s leading Fiber and Copper solutions will make project planning and rollouts easier, faster, more reliable and more cost-effective. Customers can be assured of full compatibility and interoperability. Together, R&M and Fluke Networks deliver best-in-class network solutions for their mutual customers.

Verifying interoperability

“As a global developer of connectivity systems and trusted advisor for high-quality, high-performance networks, R&M recognizes the benefits a joint technology alliance can bring to our customers,” said Jean-Pierre Labry. “The R&M Technology Alliance Program is a framework to support our Convincing Cabling Solution promise.” Verifying the interoperability of R&M’s offerings to meet specific requirements is a vital component of the Technology Alliance Program, which the agreement with Fluke Networks demonstrates.

Employing these Fluke Networks products helps optimize the roll-out and installation process of the physical data center network and ensures compliance with ISO/IEC, TIA and EN standards:

> CertiFiber™ Pro Quad Optical Loss Test Set, DTX-EFM2 Encircled Flux MultiMode Module, DTX-SFM2 SingleMode Module, and OptiFiber™ Pro Quad OTDR: R&M approves this certification test equipment for R&M Warranty application

> MultiFiber™ Pro: The only fiber tester that can test MPO fiber trunks without the use of fan-out cords and thus makes R&M’s MTP modules easier to test in the field. The test equipment is approved for R&M Warranty application.

> DSX-5000 CableAnalyzer™ and DTX 1800 CableAnalyzer™: Copper certification test equipment approved for R&M Warranty application
