New Canon A4 Colour MFDs Bring Document Efficiency and Control to Small Workgroups

Published Apr 27, 2014

Canon Middle East, leader in imaging solutions, is completing its successful imageRUNNER ADVANCE portfolio with the launch of three compact A4 colour multifunctional devices (MFDs). For the first time, the new imageRUNNER ADVANCE C250i, C350i and C351iF models bring Canon’s award-winning document handling efficiency and control to small workgroups in a compact A4 colour device.

Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East, comments: “The success of our imageRUNNER ADVANCE range has been outstanding. We have sold over 400,000 units across EMEA since it was launched in 2009, and feedback from our customers has been extremely positive. With the addition of the new compact models, Canon can offer best-fit document capture and output solutions for any office environment – from small workgroups to busy departments – with a complete and consistent range of mono, colour, A4 and A3 devices.”

Smarter document handling efficiency

The new A4 colour devices offer a user experience that is consistent across the entire imageRUNNER ADVANCE range, which means customers benefit from the same ease of use and advanced document handling efficiency they already experience from their A3 colour devices.

Thanks to the imageRUNNER ADVANCE MEAP and MEAP Web application platforms and Canon’s award-winning range of software, the new devices provide quick and powerful output management and capture workflows. Support for mobile working, such as printing from mobile devices or scanning to cloud services, future-proofs organisations’ investments and helps customers stay productive on the move when working with digital and paper-based documents.

The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C250i, C350i and C351iF produce impressive high-quality colour prints at speeds of up to 35ppm and offer a paper capacity of up to 2,300 sheets. The familiar and customisable imageRUNNER ADVANCE user interface combined with an easy-to-use 7” touch screen ensures hassle-free operation for the end-user.

Enhanced cost control & security

The new devices offer scalable security and cost control capabilities to address the concerns of any organisation; from standard features such as smart user authentication and function-level control to sophisticated options such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP). Canon’s unique Universal Login Manager (ULM) provides smaller organisations with enterprise-level reporting and access control - all without the need for a server. ULM provides full visibility of usage and costs by user as well as the option to apply user-level restrictions for enhanced security and cost control. More demanding environments can access centralised and complete output management and control through Canon’s uniFLOW platform which offers advanced functions such as DLP and rule-based routing.

Efficient management & Integration

The consistent, hassle-free operation across the entire imageRUNNER ADVANCE fleet simplifies device management, configuration and operation. In combination with the ability to upgrade the MFDs and diagnose faults remotely, organisations can reduce device down-time and improve productivity. Remote service capabilities for toner management and ordering remove back-office burdens from customers. Built-in support for industry standards, such as genuine Adobe PostScript, also ensures seamless integration with existing IT environments.

Leading environmental performance

As with the award-winning A3 imageRUNNER ADVANCE range, the new devices consume less than one watt of energy during sleep mode and are Energy Star certified, which gives them some of the lowest TEC ratings in the office device industry.
