Software AG Strengthens its Mobile Capabilities with Metaquark Acquisition

Software AG recently announced the completion of its acquisition of Berlin-based metaquark and the integration of its mobile application capabilities within the company’s Intelligent Business Operations (IBO) and webMethods Business Process Management platforms. metaquark’s solution enables the management of mobile users, devices, and security profiles in a single location, simplifying the process of distributing new apps and updates. Also, the technology provides monitoring capabilities, offering enterprise developers a better mobile user experience, including statistics and usage reports. Software AG’s mobile capabilities also allow developers to build a single version of a native, mobile application that can be used across any iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile device. With the mobile market in its current fragmented state, developers and administrators can benefit from creating mobile applications that can run on several software platforms, managed from a single platform.
Integrated with the company’s IBO platform - which provides analytics and decision management for real-time applications – this provides enterprises with the ability to make fully informed business decisions anytime and anywhere using real-time applications, including those focused on customer experience management (CEM) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
