Instructors at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, a Cisco Networking Academy, utilized the latest Cisco Video collaboration solutions, last week, to deliver Cisco Networking Academy Entrepreneurship training modules to students in remote locations.
Participating in The Abu Dhabi Education Council’s (ADEC) ‘SAYFUNA MUMAYAZ’ Summer Program which ran in universities in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Gharbia during July 2014, Abu Dhabi Polytechnic used Cisco technology to deliver the training to approximately 50 students both on the Polytechnic premises and remotely.
As well as experiencing Cisco’s latest technology solutions first-hand, the students were given the opportunity to also connect via video-conference to Cisco interns in Riyadh to gain valuable insights into Cisco’s internship program and also discuss informally about various aspects of life in Saudi Arabia.
“Cisco supports and applauds the UAE Government’s focus on using technology to advance vital education initiatives in the Emirate. We were delighted to be able to participation ADEC and Abu Dhabi Polytechnic by providing Cisco’s innovative video technology solutions to help to connect, engage, and empower learners and educators to deliver vital Cisco Networking Academy Entrepreneurship training as part of ADEC’s ‘SAYFUNA MUMAYAZ’ Summer Program. Entrepreneurial training teaches the vital skills needed for running small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) successfully and so we are pleased that our video solutions were able to extend the training to remote students,” commented Mike Weston, Vice President for Cisco in the Middle East.
