Acer V6 Series Monitors Win Best Choice Green ICT Award at Computex

Published Aug 3, 2014

Acer’s V6 series monitors made with post-consumer recycled (PCR) material has been selected for the Best Choice Green ICT award at Computex 2014. The LED-backlit monitors are designed with energy-saving features targeting business, government, and education markets and were recently awarded with the SEAD Global Efficiency Medal.

The Acer V6 series monitors with Full HD display feature Acer eColor and ComfyView technologies for colorful, clear visuals and glare reduction. Available in white or black color(1), these LED backlit LCD displays consume minimal energy and are built with a mercury- and arsenic-free panel. More than 13% of the total plastic weight is made with PCR ABS to help save natural resources. Intelligent, ergonomic and eco-friendly construction details have earned these monitors the EPEAT® Gold(2) ranking, and are ENERGY STAR® and TCO Certified.

The Acer V6 series monitors have received several accolades. They were awarded with the 2014 Global Efficiency Medal (by display size and countries) for the world’s most energy-efficient computer monitors by the Super-efficient Equipment and Appliance Deployment (SEAD) Initiative; received the Taiwan Green Mark; and are certified by the China Energy Conservation Program (CECP).

The Best Choice Award is one of the honors presented at the world’s second largest (largest in Asia Pacific) ICT procurement platform — COMPUTEX TAIPEI. The awards are presented to Taiwan's best ICT products available globally, and focus on functionality, innovation and market potential as the main judging criteria. The award, established in 2002, also serves as a stimulant for creativity.

Award winning products were showcased at the Best Choice Award Pavilion during Computex from June 3 to 7, 2014.
