Epson Launches First Portable Projector with QR Code Connectivity

Published Sep 22, 2014

Epson has launched the first-ever portable business projector to feature QR code connectivity. Designed to make collaboration and the sharing of content from smart devices almost instant, the EB-W28 portable 3LCD projector's innovative QR code feature is part of Epson's drive to create the world's best interactive projector experiences.

Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East, says: “The iProjection QR code connection makes it so easy for anyone with a smartphone or tablet to link to the EB-W28. Once the Epson iProjection app has been downloaded to a smart device, it's just a matter of scanning a QR code that's projected by the EB-W28. It's never been easier to take what you're seeing on a smart device and share it with a larger audience.”

QR code connectivity is just one feature that increases the choice, flexibility and ease of connection with the EB-W28. The HDMI input is MHL-ready, enabling further smart device connectivity via a cable to a smartphone or tablet. For impactful business presentations, this new model is designed to offer high image quality and flexible positioning thanks to keystone correction and optical zoom. Easy comparisons in meetings are possible using split-screen functionality, and the firmware update and OSD (On Screen Display) menu copy functions mean less business downtime and the easy installation of multiple projectors. Boasting WXGA resolution, 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 3,000 Lumens brightness, the EB-W28 uses Epson's 3LCD technology to guarantee equally high White and Colour Light Output for bright and vivid colours, and three times brighter colours than leading competitors.

Designed primarily for use within small business premises and small corporate offices, the EB-W28 is light enough to be easily and quickly moved between meeting rooms. Epson Network Projection (for the sharing of customised settings across a fleet of projectors) and Multi-PC Projection software is all included, the latter allowing moderator control and up to 50 users to share content.

· 3,000 Lumens brightness & equally high White and Colour Light Output
· 10,000:1 contrast ratio
