VSS Monitoring Signs Distribution Partnership with SCOPE ME

Published Oct 12, 2014

Scope Middle East, a leading specialty distributor and technology solutions provider in the Middle East, today announced that it has been signed on as a distributor for VSS Monitoring in the Middle East. As per the agreement, SCOPE, through its extensive network of specialty resellers and system integrators across the region, will be responsible for promoting and distributing VSS Monitoring’s comprehensive and feature-rich family of network packet brokers that allows IT professionals to see into the farthest reaches of even the largest networks.

“Our partnership brings together SCOPE’s expertise of operations in the Middle East and portfolio of security tools with VSS Monitoring’s leading network packet broker (NPB) solutions, providing large enterprises and service providers with the visibility and scalability to optimize their network performance and security tools," says Firas Ghanem, Regional Sales Director, Middle East at VSS Monitoring. "Our investment in SCOPE reflects our commitment to our partners' success, through programs, training and support to accelerate their business growth."

As part of its channel enablement programme, VSS Monitoring will provide SCOPE and its resellers with extensive channel partner support through its partner portal, including access to technical pre- and post-sales support and marketing resources. Regular training and certification programmes will be held to skill-up partners and ensure a high level of technical proficiency. To ensure success of the partnership, VSS Monitoring and SCOPE will collaborate to develop a network visibility practice.

SCOPE will focus its efforts on large enterprise companies and service providers that have security tools and require high performance and the massive scaling capabilities of the VSS Monitoring NPBs. The distributor’s current security product portfolio, which includes Bluecoat and A10 Networks, complements the active protection of VSS Monitoring’s vProtector series, as well as the entire suite of NPB solutions, which is a big advantage when it comes to ‘solution selling’.

Most of today's network monitoring tools do not have access to the real physical and link layer of the network, since they are relying purely on Switched Port Analyzer (SPAN) ports and simple aggregators. Network Packet Brokers (NPBs) represent a new approach for visibility and brokering of network packets while optimizing and scaling the connectivity between network switching and the entire network of performance and security analytics, inline security and WAN acceleration tools.

Deployed globally by 80% of the world's tier 1 service providers, F500 corporations and major government agencies, VSS Monitoring packet brokers improve tool usage and efficiency, simplify IT operations, and greatly enhance tool ROI. VSS Monitoring’s network packet broker (NPB) solutions, IT can easily manage the growing complexity by optimizing network intelligence. In particular, the VSS Monitoring Unified Visibility Plane™ centralizes the capture, delivery, and optimization of network data for security systems and performance management tools. The visibility plane eliminates management complexity and ensures each tool receives the right data at the right time at the right speed—maximizing efficiency, reducing mean time to repair (MTTR), and increasing ROI.

“VSS Monitoring is a great addition to our portfolio considering the vendor is a world leader in network packet brokers. The Middle East has great business potential for VSS as regional organizations are in the process of upgrading and modernizing their existing data centres and network infrastructure and are looking to implement the latest network performance monitoring tools and security solutions. We see a very healthy uptake of the company’s solutions as we make concerted efforts to increase brand awareness,” concludes Mr. Fadi AbuEkab, CEO, SCOPE ME.
