Fujitsu announces a strategic alliance in support of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority’s (ADFCA) vision of achieving international recognition as a food and agriculture organization that contributes to the well-being of the Abu Dhabi community. Fujitsu also announces the go live of an Oracle Business Intelligence project which will give the ADFCA a 360-degree view of its customers as a solid basis for decision making.
Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) plays an extremely critical role in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE – ensuring that millions of residents are consistently delivered safe food. In addition, its endeavor is to develop a sustainable food sector, as well as protect health of plants and animals while promoting sound environmental and food practices.
As today’s hyperconnected world leads to increasingly complex global supply and distribution chains, most organizations grapple with a data deluge. The ability to analyze this data, and the time this requires, is highly dependent on organizational goals and outcomes. In the case of ADFCA, its decisions have a direct impact on the lives of the residents of Abu Dhabi.
Multiple sources of data across the Authority prevented having a single consistent source of truth for customer data. It also presented two additional complications - managing multiple datasets is cumbersome, and analyzing them to derive meaningful results is extremely difficult. In order to address the above, as well as vastly improve quality and time of decision making, ADFCA decided to implement an Oracle Business Intelligence project. It chose Fujitsu to implement this due to the quality of its resources, its successful track record, and its ability to comprehend and work towards reaching the business outcome needed by ADFCA.
This project has been implemented within budget and timeframes by Fujitsu, and ADFCA management is content with the outcome of this project, which allows them to have a 360 degree view of customers and allow access to accurate and trusted information helping them make the right decision. It is also helping ADFCA monitor KPIs across the organization and thus allowing better services to their stakeholders.
With a view to further increase its services to customers, and as part of their strategic vision, ADFCA has chosen Oracle Siebel as their CRM platform. Once again, the implementation has been awarded to Fujitsu, one of the world’s largest IT services providers.
