Destinia Takes A New Leap Into Technology With New Website And Mobile And Tablet App

Published Mar 30, 2015

Destinia.com has announced a revamped, more modern and faster website. On top of the cleaner, slicker design, the website also offers fully integrated search tools and a completely responsive design, adaptable to every device. Additionally, the online travel agency has launched a renovated mobile and new tablet app.

Destinia.com’s bespoke philosophy simultaneously offers multi-lingual services in multiple markets and comprises a number of innovative features. The personalised approach of the online travel agency means that the web content adapts to the users’ country, not only by detecting their language preference and currency, but also assesses the trending topics and destinations in each market.

“Adapting to the preferences of each market, and offering interesting recommendations for them is a key element in our service,” Amuda Goueli, CEO and co-founder of Destinia.com commented. “We see a responsive website as an obligation rather than an option, and we’ve applied this principle of excellence to our mobile and tablet app as well, because the mobile user experience is undoubtedly better with native apps.” He added.

Looking to deliver a 360o experience, Destinia.com has also updated its mobile app, and is finalising details for a tablet version. The new app allows on the go travellers the functionality to rent a car, as well as managing their current bookings, and have handy all the necessary information for their trip.

The updated app also has a built-in GPS system, which detects flights from the closest airport to the user, as well as hotels in the vicinity at the traveller’s location at their destination. Hotel search can also be filtered by TripAdvisor ratings and customisable search preferences such as price and proximity.

“Modern travellers use multiple gadgets and we want to offer them an optimum and consistent user experience, regardless of their location. In the MENA region, web traffic from mobile devices (phones and tablets) is higher than in Europe. In KSA and the UAE it has reached 64 and 61 percent respectively, and in 2014 reservations through this source reached 24 percent in KSA and 22 percent in UAE.” Goueli explained.

Guaranteeing the safest possible experience, Destinia.com’s reservation system offers exceptional anti-fraud capacity as well as one of the safest protection and data encrypting systems, ensuring the privacy of customers isn’t jeopardised.

The Destinia.com app, working for iPhone and Android devices, is free of charge, and allows travellers to have access to more than 300,000 hotels and 600 airlines all around the world, always at the best rates. Focusing on the region’s needs, the website was the first of its kind to offer its services in Arabic, and currently works in 32 other languages. Destinia.com aims to be one of the region’s top three online travel agencies by 2017.

You can now download the app in Google Play and Apple Store.
