R&M and Four Industry Leading IT Vendors to Host Second Edition of 'Middle East Data Center Network Day' in Abu Dhabi

Published Apr 1, 2015

R&M, the global Swiss developer and provider of connectivity solutions for high-performance network infrastructures, together with four of the region's leading technology vendors, will host its Data Center Network Day themed 'How to Measure and Ensure Data Center Performance' at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi on the 8th of April, 2015. The event it targeted at data center consultants and IT decision makers from all major industry verticals and will feature presentations by R&M, FNT Software, TTK, Fluke Networks and one of the largest IT companies in the world that will educate attendees on the various technologies and procedures necessary to ensure that their data centers are performing up to expectations.

“We received an overwhelmingly positive response when we held our Data Center Network Day event in November of last year so it was only logical to make this a regular feature. The presence of so many leading IT vendors at a single platform gives attendees a comprehensive overview of every critical element in the design and operation of a high-performance data center. This time, we will focus on the measurement of data center performance. This is dependent on a number of complex and often interrelated factors which IT teams often find difficult to address,” said Alfred Tharwat Head of Training & Data Center consultancy, R&M Middle East, Turkey & Africa.

R&M is also set to launch its HD Traffic Access Point (TAP) solution at the event. A TAP is a passive fiber optic splitter which can be easily installed between two network devices such as switches, routers, and storage, to provide network and security personnel with a connection for monitoring. As they do not have IP addresses, the HD TAP Modules are isolated from external access, eliminating the possibility of remote attack. R&M has designed this solution to be fully compatible with all major manufacturers' monitoring solutions for Ethernet and Fibre Channel.

The collaboration between R&M and the four market leading vendors gives attendees a comprehensive understanding of a broad range of topics that touch upon every aspect of the modern data center. The vendors bring with them deep knowledge of various market verticals including government, telecom, utilities, banking and finance, and education. The following presentations are scheduled for the event:

R&M- "HD Traffic Access Point (TAP) Solution"

FNT Software - "DCIM integration"

TTK - “ Addressing Water Leak Detection to protect critical environment”

Fluke Networks - "Monitoring your datacenter performance"

The Data Center Network Day is a full day event starting at 9am and concluding at 4pm. Over 100 end customers and industry consultants are expected to attend and registration can be done by visiting the website: http://www.datacenter.rdm.com/en/contact/invitation-data-center-network-day.html
