MENA’s First Ever Summit on HR Technology to Take Place in Dubai

Published Apr 21, 2015

When it comes to the challenges faced in the global talent economy, the MENA region is no different from the rest of the world. Technology has emerged as the focal point of innovation and the HR function is rapidly catching up.

The natural thirst for information and the need for a dedicated platform on HR technology has prompted QnA International to organize HR Tech MENA, the region’s first of its kind initiative, from May 13 to 14 in Dubai.

Under the theme “Smart HR Evolution”, the HR Tech MENA will bring together thought leaders and industry specialists in the fields of information technology and human resources.

Deniz Kilyar, Head of HCM line of business at SAP MENA states: “Human capital management is an area where we see the highest appetite and openness to new technology in the MENA region. As millennials join the workforce, they want to have modern technologies to work on, to learn and develop, and be visible with their successes hence the new technology for HCM becomes an edge for enterprises to attract and retain talent.”

Robert Zampetti, Director for HR Service Delivery and Technology practices, EMEA at Towers Watson too agrees, adding that “anecdotal evidence based on our interactions with existing and prospective clients in the region indicate strong interest in deploying state-of-the-art HR technology solutions, as proven by some of our first implementations of leading cloud-based HR applications in the region.”

In addition, Deloitte consulting has observed a clear shift from traditional HR management processes to more talent-related solutions in the MENA. “It is important to note that the MENA region is starting to embrace software-as-a-service (SaaS) or cloud solutions with a focus on people development and engagement, through Learning Management System (LMS) solutions, performance management systems and sophisticated self-service environments,”.

Speaking on the significance of this platform, Sidh N C, Director Projects at QnA International says: “Given the advent of HR technology, an event such as HR Tech MENA will serve as a viable platform for ensuring that there is maximum understanding of the needs and challenges of the market, as well as opportunities that technological advancements could open up.”

The HR Tech MENA initiative is an exclusive summit that will feature only top-level decision makers to ensure the highest quality of brainstorming sessions and educational case studies highlighting best practices.

SAP is the platinum sponsor for this powerful initiative and Towers Watson and Halogen are the conference’s gold sponsors, respectively; while Saba Consulting and Deloitte serve as silver sponsors and Kaar Technologies as bronze sponsor.
