A silver metallic hinge provides a stylish contrast, leaving a visual impression inherited from the award-winning Aspire V Nitro. It has a backlit keyboard which not only adds a modern touch to its appearance, but is also practical for use in dimly lit environments.

Built with 5th generation Intel® Core™ processors and the latest NVIDIA® GeForce® 940M series graphics chips, the Aspire V 15 provides high-powered processing and amazing onscreen performance. Photos, videos, games and presentations appear vivid and clear on the Full HD display. Dolby® Digital Plus sound and a DVD-RW drive with M-Disc support make the Aspire V 15 ideal for entertainment.

Aspire E Series – Attractive Design with Appealing Features

The new Aspire E Series notebooks come in a variety of colour options in 14-inch, 15.6-inch, and 17.3-inch displays. They feature a textile-pattern on the cover and underside which has been manufactured through a brand new process, involving 3D scanning of fabric samples, which are then replicated into moulds with 3D printing technology and finished with a laser engraving process. The bold and colourful interior panels extend to an eye-catching ring around the machine visible even when the lid is closed.

With the latest Intel processors1, NVIDIA® GeForce® 940M series graphics with dedicated DDR3 VRAM or AMD Radeon™ R8 and R6 dual graphics, up to 16GB RAM and 2TB HDD/ 1TB SSHD storage options, the new Aspire E Series provides solid performance for everyday use.

Blazing Connection Speeds with Advanced MU-MIMO Wireless and Gigabit Ethernet

The new Aspire E Series supports up to three times faster 802.11ac wireless speeds with Qualcomm’s MU-MIMO technology, which enables multiple users to simultaneously access the same channel by providing spatial degrees of freedom. With greater efficiency for multiple clients, supporting networks have more free time and capacity to serve notebooks and other mobile devices simultaneously.

“As the first laptop on the market with integrated MU-MIMO functionality, the Acer Aspire E Series will provide full-tilt performance and network efficiency,” said Cormac Conroy, vice president of engineering, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. “MU-MIMO promises to revolutionize Wi-Fi networking, enabling consumers to do more than previously possible with their connected devices. We’re pleased to be working with Acer on this important industry first.”

Built for work and fun, all of the new notebooks support 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet providing up to ten times faster transfer rates than traditional 10/100 Ethernet ports.

Additional Speakers Not Needed with Acer TrueHarmony

The new Aspire E Series notebook models include the latest TrueHarmony audio technology from Acer. With a unique combination of innovative hardware and software design, Acer TrueHarmony delivers lifelike audio that takes entertainment to the next level. With a paper diaphragm construction specifically designed to enhance strength and flexibility, the speakers deliver accurate sound with a wider range of bass and less distortion. The custom equalizer optimizes frequency balance, ensuring that movies come to life, music has more depth, and games are even more engaging.

Acer BluelightShield™ Allows More Reading with Less Eye Strain

Acer’s 2015 notebook line-up includes BluelightShield, effectively lessening eye strain by reducing blue light emission from the screen, it provides four modes of use:

> Low Reduction: Reduces blue light emission from the LED backlit module by 18%, which is as effective as a pair of generic anti-blue-light glasses.
> Mid Reduction and High Reduction: Reduces blue light emission from the LED backlit module by 36% and 54% respectively.
> Long Hour Mode: Professionally tuned by optical engineers to reduce eye strain over extended periods.

Comfortable, Precise, and Intuitive Control

The Aspire V 15 and Aspire E Series feature a newly-designed chiclet keyboard offering solid tactile feedback with increased travel distance. The keys are well-spaced with a 0.3mm concave on the keycap providing extra comfort while typing. There is a new Acer Power Button integrated on the keyboard, creating a cleaner look in the control area and also avoiding accidental shutdown with behaviour settings by different time lengths of pressing the key.

Acer has also implemented Precision Touchpad across the notebook lines to unify the Windows experience by providing touchpad gestures and behaviours consistent with those of a touchscreen, such as pinch-to-zoom, swipe, and scroll. This not only provides a smooth and responsive experience, but also better accuracy through higher resolution hardware and built-in palm rejection.

Attention to Detail

The Aspire E Series notebooks are Skype certified to provide a friction-free audio and visual communication experience. The hardware and software have been fine-tuned and underwent a rigid certification process to ensure the speech is seamless with no lag or gaps, the sound is reproduced true-to-life and distortion-free, and the video realistic and accurate. Both models are equipped with two fast USB 3.0 ports, with one supporting convenient power-off charging.
