Paris Gallery Goes Live With Oracle® Retail Applications To Support Growth And Service Initiatives

Published Oct 21, 2009
Paris Gallery, the leading luxury retailer in the Middle East, has implemented Oracle® Retail and Oracle E-Business Suite applications to help support aggressive growth strategies and enhance service levels across its store and distribution network.

The Oracle Applications are expected to provide a unified view of all merchandising, supply chain, store and back office operations across its 60 stores and three distribution businesses in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain, helping Paris Gallery to derive more value from the business.

With a premium assortment of over 800 luxury brands within opulent shopping environments, innovative retail concepts and high standards of service, Paris Gallery’s use of Oracle Retail applications is supporting its drive to offer customers the best mix of global brands at the right price and in the right quantities.

Paris Gallery chose Zenzar Technologies to provide consultancy and implementation services for the Oracle applications in a three-phase programme.

Deployment and Results

Paris Gallery has implemented Oracle Retail Merchandising System, Oracle Retail Warehouse Management and Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management to provide real-time insight into inventory within its merchandising, supply chain and stores operations and drive timely, accurate business decisions.

The retailer anticipates this will help it to react quickly to changes in customer buying patterns and seasonal demand. In turn, this is expected to support more accurate open-to-buy and improve the impact on profitable margins, delivering as much as a 20 percent reduction in inventory.

The implementation will further help to optimise efficiencies throughout the supply chain by improving transparency and accelerating the flow of merchandise to reduce lead-time.

In addition, Paris Gallery has also implemented Oracle Human Resources, Oracle Payroll, Oracle Time and Labor and Oracle Financials, all part of Oracle E-Business Suite, to provide a scalable and flexible architecture required to support the growing demands of its business.

Oracle E-Business Suite Financials will enable Paris Gallery to consolidate operational results providing a holistic view of business performance.

The retailer selected Oracle Human Resource Management applications to provide the capability to manage its HR and resourcing activities globally from a single multifunctional system, while complying with local country laws and regulations.
