“Over the years, as Qatar’s economy grows, IT development received considerable investments both from government entities and international corporate groups,” he began. “As the sector evolves, we saw a great opportunity to serve the growing needs of large multi-national companies and SMEs for enterprise business solutions. We are proud to have made a positive contribution to this development, as we partnered with companies in several industries and helped them address the toughest business challenges in Qatar.”
Fernandes added that Sage ME’s steady growth in a highly competitive IT market such as Qatar has allowed it to strengthen its position as the ERP software developer of choice by companies in the GCC region.
In Qatar, Sage ME’s suite of ERP solutions has been deployed by various industries, including healthcare, trading and distribution, as well as conglomerates and FMCG.
“We are excited at the prospects opening up for us in Qatar. Healthcare, for instance, is a key growth driver for Sage ME. Over the last six months, we were able to sign up two healthcare clients in the emirate. We are also seeing renewed interest from groups of companies in Qatar and in other parts of the GCC to use our ERP solutions,” Fernandes said.
One of its products, the Sage X3, has become an instant regional favourite because of its ability to streamline core business process such as HR, financials, purchasing, sales and manufacturing, without the need for heavy investment and resources. Sage X3 has been deployed in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and will soon be available in Qatar.
Fernandes also attributes the company’s regional success to its strong commitment to developing strong local partnerships and providing excellent customer service.
“We have a strong customer base in Qatar, which I believe was a result of our ability to develop and retain good partners, who are themselves committed to investing in Qatar. We are also a firm believer in offering quality support, both during the sale and after-sale process, which gives our clients the confidence to continuously do business with Sage,” he said.
