TANDBERG Heralds Gitex 2009 A Success

Published Oct 22, 2009
TANDBERG’s business enhancing technology has been a key magnet for visitors to the company’s GITEX stand this week, which has received high levels of interest from both trade representatives and end consumers.

The company, one of the region’s leading providers of telepresence technology, fielded enquiries and a high level of interest in its products and systems which will be followed-up over the coming weeks.

“Our product line-up has impressed visitors to our stand and they have been very interested in learning about the different ways TANDBERG’s solutions can positively affect their bottom line,” said Munzer Aloush, TANDBERG Country Manager for UAE & Oman.

One way TANDBERG’s solutions can dramatically affect operations of any organisation, especially multinationals, is with a huge reduction in the need for travel and its associated expenses – cutting costs and making a positive environmental impact.

For example, TNT, the global mail and packaging service, implemented video technology from the CEO to its front line employees as part of its Planet Me program to become the first carbon neutral mail and express delivery company in the world. As a result, the company has significantly reduced its environmental impact and is on track to save over AED 60 million over four years by replacing costly travel with face-to-face video communication. They are also on target to deliver a return on investment of 71 percent.

Visitors to TANDBERG’s GITEX stand were able to see and experience TANDBERG’s products in a setting designed to showcase the technology and its real world functions, as well as have any questions regarding applications and specifics answered.

“We have used our experience here to talk directly with our key audience and show them, in person, just what we are capable of doing, how our solutions can benefit them and how much money TANDBERG products are capable of saving an organisation,” Aloush said.

He concluded: “For TANDBERG, GITEX 2009 has been a success and we look forward to attending again next year.”
