Etihad Atheeb Telecom “GO” And Mobile Telecommunications Company “Zain” Ink Interconnect Agreement

Etihad Atheeb Telecom “GO” and Mobile Telecommunications Company “Zain” announced signing an interconnect agreement, the agreement was signed by Dr. Ahmed Abbas Sindi , chief executive of Etihad Atheeb Telecom “GO” , on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Dr. Ismael Fikree, Chief Operating Officer of Mobile Telecommunications Company “Zain” at the presence of senior officials of both companies.

Dr. Ahmed Abbas Sindi , chief executive of Etihad Atheeb Telecom “GO” commented stating : “ signing this agreement today represents a part of the company's efforts to collaborate with licensed telecommunications companies in the kingdom, the importance of interconnect lies in guaranteeing the provision of top quality services to customers of both companies and ensuring the flow of voice and data services between the two networks . The agreement allows for a connection between switches, and communication between Signaling Networks, Transport Networks,traffic routing, synchronization, and Interface standards for connectivity, in addition to ensuring the level of service provided, and level of operation and maintenance processes, which includes network operation, routing management and traffic management, operational testing and safety standards, as well as procedures for billing and call detail records and intellectual property rights “

Dr. Ismael Fikree, Chief Operating Officer of Mobile Telecommunications Company “Zain” stated: “We are pleased to sign this agreement with Etihad Atheeb Telecom “GO” which creates new prospects for cooperation and benefits that reflect on the subscribers, and highlights the value of such cooperative spirit amongst licensed telecommunication operators in the kingdom to ensure the improvement of the services provided”
