Taking place as a co-located event with International Exhibition for National Security & Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi) 2016, the regional debut of Infosecurity Middle East this year will feature sessions from the global leader in cyber education and certification, (ISC)2, to bring best practice knowledge to the region.
Hosting professional practice workshops focusing on the regional-critical areas of Cloud Security, Risk and Governance; and Forensics, Investigations and Incident management, the (ISC)2 sessions will offer an overview of the challenges and opportunities in the cybersecurity field, as well as the growing expectations that are developing for anyone tasked with managing cyber risk.
The sessions will draw from (ISC)2’s comprehensive research program including the (ISC)2 Global Information Security Workforce Study and the ongoing Job Task Analysis that upholds the (ISC)2 CBK®, a taxonomy of security topics and knowledge that is kept up to date with the input of its certified membership of nearly 110,000 professionals around the world. These sessions will be offered to complement the vast educational program expected at Infosecurity Middle East.
“Cybersecurity risks, now recognised as a key element of doing any kind of business, means everyone – from the technical specialist to the operations or business manager – must consider new areas of competency. These sessions are designed to support those interested in enhancing their security skills with the professional practice knowledge that is applied today in the protection of businesses and organisations of all sizes and sectors,” says (ISC)2 EMEA Managing Director Dr. Adrian Davis, CISSP.
(ISC)2 is the global, not-for-profit leader in educating and certifying cyber, information, software and infrastructure security professionals throughout their careers.
“Looking ahead, both the public and private sector will continue to face challenges in terms of how best to equip their businesses and employees with the tools to face an increasingly threatened cyber world,” said Meline Eolmezian-Soulie, Group Exhibition Director – Security and Safety, Reed Exhibitions, organizers of ISNR 2016.
“Working with (ISC)2 allows us to provide our visitors with the opportunity to be ahead of the game, taking advantage of their leading certification and education programs, and offering key insights into the challenges that lay in the infosecurity space,” Meline Eolmezian-Soulie added.
An offshoot event from Infosecurity Europe, Europe’s number one information security exhibition and conference for over 20 years, Infosecurity is a highly respected international brand in the information security industry. The event will serve regional governments, critical infrastructure, major public institutions and IT security officers with the latest trends and innovative solutions to ensure the security of business information and IT infrastructure.
Under the guidance and direction of the UAE’s Ministry of Interior, ISNR Abu Dhabi was established as a platform for countries from around the world to see and source the world’s very latest homeland security solutions in one place, at one time.
For the three-day March 2016 ISNR Abu Dhabi event, there will be more than 500 exhibiting companies from 45 countries showing solutions to nearly 20,000 attendees from more than 90 countries, many of whom will form country delegations of buyers.
