A10 Networks' Fourth Generation of Appliances Feature the Industry's Fastest ADC in a Single Rack Unit

Published Apr 10, 2016

A10 Networks, a leader in application networking and security, announced six new Thunder Series appliances, including the industry's fastest single rack unit ADC. The new fourth-generation offerings expand customer choice for entry-level, upper mid-range and high-end appliances. The company's portfolio of appliances provides even greater price/performance -with scalability to 220 Gbps of traffic per second, 10.5 million connections per second, and defense for over 300 million DDoS attacks per second. The fourth-generation Thunder appliances scale and secure the most demanding data center applications and networks.

The unrelenting growth of data center traffic, the Internet of Things (IoT), and increased security requirements from mobile, cloud, and web is creating a continuous demand for higher performance and scalable data center infrastructure solutions. The new Thunder Series appliances are based on A10's innovative ACOS Harmony platform, which delivers industry-leading performance to price. All ACOS-based appliances leverage a data center efficient design, consuming less power, cooling, and rack space -- critically important metrics for organizations.

"We are seeing data centers needing to continuously scale to meet the traffic demands driven by major trends such as mobile, IoT, big data, and more demanding security policies; our customers require ever increasing scale, visibility, security and agility," said Lee Chen, CEO of A10 Networks. "A10's new fourth-generation appliances provide substantially greater price performance relative to other products on the market, further extending our technology leadership over the competition. Today's announcement of the industry's fastest single rack-unit ADC continues this leadership with the advantage of the ACOS Harmony platform for true agility."
